Rust-Oleum ChristmasBaubles

There’s nothing like a Christmas tree to get you in the festive mood, but if your tree decorations are past their best and looking a little worse for wear why not give them a whole new look with spray paint?

Alternatively, if you want to try a new Christmas style this year, it could cost a fortune to replace your tree decorations, but it’s so easy to coordinate these with your new colour scheme with spray paint. Rust-Oleum have a very large selection of colours including metallics to fit with the festive theme.

Here is how to celebrate Christmas in a traditional and timeless style with hues of red and metallic gold and silver.

What you will need:

Old Christmas decorations.

Newspaper

Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch

Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint

Instructions:

Move the object(s) to be painted to a well-ventilated area and place on top of newspaper or a dust sheet. Protect the surrounding area with additional dust sheets or newspaper.

Ensure surfaces to be painted are free from loose paint, rust, wax, oil and grease. Previously painted surfaces should be sanded to remove excess paint. Bare wood and metal should be primed with Rust-Oleum Surface Primer following the instructions on the tin.

Using your selected Rust-Oleum product, hold the can approximately 30cm from the surface of the object(s) and spray in a steady back and forth motion, slightly overlapping with each stroke. For best results, whilst spraying keep the can the same distance from the surface and keep the can in motion.

Apply several light coats a few minutes apart.
