We were thrilled to see a crochet book that was designed to appeal to men as well as women and Crochetterie has everything you could want from a crochet instruction guide and more.

Written by Molla Mills, this refreshing read provides a thorough and clear guide to the craft of crochet without patronising, thus suiting both the absolute beginner and more experienced crocheter alike. The guide to abbreviations and difficulty levels are found at the start of the book, whilst an entire chapter devoted to basic instructions, covering step-by-step guides to different techniques as well as a photographic guide to the different yarns used for the various projects can be found at the back. We particularly loved the guide on whittling your own crochet hook and there are even some tips on stretching out your body after periods of prolonged crocheting.

Projects in the book vary from the usual mobile phone holders and coasters that we usually come across, providing patterns to create anything from an impressive band poster, rugs or even a bower hat!

Crochetterie (published by Jacqui Small LLP) is due out on 18th August and available to pre-order from all good book sellers including Amazon now.
