There’s no better way of keeping your freshly boiled eggs warm and snug than with a hand-crocheted egg cosy.
A quick and easy project that’s perfect for using up oddments of yarn, you’ll have an entire set made in no time at all!
What you need:
Oddments of DK yarn
4.5mm crochet hook
Instructions:
Begin:
Ch3. Create a ring by drawing a slip stitch through the last chain.
Round 1:
Ch3, form a puff (yarn over hook, insert hook into ring, yarn over hook again, pull yarn back through, repeat 3 times, yarn over hook, pull yarn through all loops on hook (there should be nine), yarn over hook, pull yarn through two loops), ch2, repeat until you have five puffs into central ring, sl st into first chain to join.
Round 2:
Ch3. Form a puff into each hole from the previous round with 3 ch in between each. You’ll have five puffs at the end once more. To complete the round, ch3 and sl st into beginning of round to join.
Round 3, 4 and 5:
Repeat round 2. Sl st to join at end, cut yarn and weave in.
And you’re done! Warm, cosy eggs all round!
